A Company With Heritage And Future

The Solicomp GmbH was founded in Munich by Dipl. Ing. Michael Dacqué on June, 15. 1975.

Initialy, Solicomp offered the import and sales of electronic components, assemblies and equipment. Therefore Solicomp represented several US American semiconductor manufacturers like Solitron and Westinghouse.

Already during the first years, the company specialized in the distribution of single semiconductors, the so called "discretes".

Short-lived and rapidly changing technologies boosted the markets, but brought customers with long-life products into trouble. Especially in the aerospace field, railway technology and plant engineering, companies must rely on high quality electronics and long term availability. To ensure this, Solicomp invested early in extensive inventory and customer-oriented logistics.

Due to the stong growth, the company moved to Geretsried in the south of Munich in 1985.

Solicomp was appointed as leading distributor by the semiconducter manufacturer DSI in 1992 and continues the worldwide representation until today.

In 1999 Daniela Krammer (born Dacqué) took over the management and continued the companies development into the next generation.

The business unit "Display & Lighting Solutions" was developed in a very close relationship with the Lucius & Baer GmbH  .

The growing importance of LED´s in many areas of daily life was detected early at Solicomp and thus became one of the core competences of the company. As a "Value Added Reseller" Solicomp cooperates with OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, a global leader in LED technology.

Frank Holz acquired 50% of Solicomp GmbH in 2010 and cooperates since then with Daniela Krammer as Managing Directors.
